Ahmer Jalal Khan Niazi

Ahmer Jalal Khan Niazi was born on 13th December 1998 in Lahore. He is currently studying Bachelor's of Biotechnology from University of Central Punjab (UCP).

Initially Ahmer was just an ordinary player who played outdoor badminton. In his early days, Dr Tawheed and Mr. Daud helped him a lot to develop basic skills. Whenever any member of his society watched him play, they appreciated the rare talent he had got. These little compliments made Ahmer gradually fall in love with this game and he wanted to pursue his dream in the racket sport. On an occasion, Mr. Liaqat Ali brought him as a sparring partner for the Junior (U-14) trainees. Ahmer was impressed by the environment players had got in that camp and that day he decided he'd get professional training and achieve his goals.

He, at the age of 16, took the first step and went to Coach Nadeem Javed for professional training. Ahmer represented Rawalpindi board in Interboard Championship 2015 and came out on the winning side. Ahmer played back to back International tournaments in 2016: participated in International School Federation World School Championship in Italy (Malta), and Asian Junior Championship in Bangkok, Thailand. Few months later, Ahmer made his National debut in the National Junior (U-19) Championship 2016, where he qualified for the Semi finals and faced defeat from the former National Junior (U-19) Champion, Zohaib Khan Khalil. In the same year, he went to an International training camp at Ampang Jaya Badminton Club in Malaysia, where he trained under Coach Syawal Ismail and Khek Mong Ho.

In 2017 Peshawar All Pakistan Ranking Tournament, the "Qualifier" entered the main round and beat Wadood Amer and Rizwan Ahmed in the 1st and 2nd round respectively. Ahmer marked his presence in the "Main round" since that day. Also, Ahmer stood on the podium along with his teammates as the gold medalists of Quaid-e-Azam Games 2017

In 2018 National Championship, Ahmer lost to former National Champion, Ali Mehdi. Upon losing in the first round, his father ordered him to "throw away" his Badminton kit and Ahmer didn't appear on the court for 6 consecutive months. During this dark span of time, his friends, Uzain Bukhari, Usman Sheikh and his Coach Nadeem Javed motivated him to continue his passion and chase his dreams. However, the road to comeback for Ahmer was not a piece of cake as he suffered several hamstring and calf injuries. He also went to Malaysia to train under Coach Syawal Ismail once again in this time period. But as it is said, "Hard work always pays off". So was the case for him. In 2019, he became the Punjab doubles Champion (with Gohar Azam) and was declared the 2nd best in all 3 categories (MS, MD & Team event) in Punjab Games

In 2020, he faced the same opponent in the same tournament, but the results were different this time: Ahmer Jalal dethroned the National Champion 2019, Ali Mehdi.

During his 5 years National career, Ahmer has faced many ups and downs, but he has been lucky to have supporters who have backed him in every stage. Dr. Muzaffar Jalal, Dr. Amir Jalal, Mr. Qaiser, Dr Zahid, Mr. Rizwan, M. Anas Akhtar, Muteeb Sohail Dar and Ammar Masood have pushed him to become a better player.

Ahmer Jalal aims to raise the flag of his country and bag several International gold medals.

Review of Yonex Nanoflare 270 Speed

The Yonex Nanoflare 270 Speed is a product of Yonex's latest series, Nanoflare , which was released in the year 2019. A resilient yet flexible graphite material, Toraycar M40 and Super HMG provide matchless power and stability for maximum shuttle acceleration. Its Nanocell Neo frame shape provides you with a greater sweet spot, allowing you to have a better chance of middling the shot. In my opinion, what distinguishes this racket from other models of Yonex is that it comes with various weights and grip sizes (which I already explained in my previous blog), allowing you to have a number of choices according to your game style. Yonex launched Nanoflare 270 speed are manufactured in 4U and 5U , weighing 83g and 78g on average respectively. As you can see it is a light racket, so this may not be suitable for an attacking player, however it might be beneficial for defensive players, or those who like to rely on their flat drives. Furthermore, I would advise you to string yo...
