Zarina Waqar- Former National Champion

Zarina Waqar was born on 6th April 1969 in Faisalabad. She did Msc. Physical Education from Govt. University Dera Ismail Khan. Also, she is MBA Marketing degree holder. She started badminton at the age of 12 at Shahzad Club in her hometown under the supervision of Coach Baba g Salim. Zarina Waqar dominated the 'Junior' era in her early days. The National Junior Champion remained undefeated for 4 consecutive years: 1986-1989 .  She made her National debut in 1988 National Championship where she took 1st position in WD and 3rd position in WS . A year later, she won a gold medal in Women's Doubles and a silver medal in Women's Singles . Also, she was part of a training camp for preparation of Asian Championship 1990 . Zarina participated in 1990 National Championship where she beat Saira Bilqees/ Afshan Shuja in Women's double final . Umar Jehangir- Junior (U-18) National Champion (2020)

Born on 4th March 2005, Umar Jehangir h ails from Palosi, Peshawar, and has completed his Matric. In the 12th year, he started playing Badminton in Hujra, under the coaching of Waqas Khalil . Currently, Coach Nadeem Khan has been training him in Peshawar Sports Complex since the past 3 years.  At such a young age, Umar has accomplished wonders and is making the Badminton community proud. His 1st professional tournament was the District Championship 2017 Peshawar, where he was the silver medalist. Currently, he is the Junior National Champion of U-18 Singles and Doubles with his partner, Uzair Khan . The champion was also awarded as Best Player of the year in 2018 and 2019 by Sports Inviters Association, KPK. Sarah Mohmand's Badminton career

Sarah Mohmand was born on 14th June 1984 in Islamabad. She did her Bachelors in Computer science from Hamdard University and Graduate Diploma in Technology from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia.  Sarah, at the age of 16, did not know her hobby would be her profession. She started playing Badminton in Islamabad Club with her friends. However, as her interest grew, she decided to seek professional guidance. The role of her mentor was played by her first Coach, Tahir Ishaq , who, according to Sarah, played a major role in teaching her the respective sport. Sarah made her debut in the National Championship held at Minto Park Lahore , where she reached the Women's doubles final (with Zarina Waqar ). Muhammad Zunain Javed- National Champion (XD) 2020

Muhammad Zunain Javed was born on 29th November 1995 in Mamu Kanjan. Zain is a certified Account Technician. Initially he was interested in Football, however gradually his interest started to lean towards Badminton.  Zunain began to play the sport at the age of 15 in Etihad Badminton Club Mamu Kanjan . In the early days of his badminton career, he did not receive any professional guidance and could not play competitive badminton for the first 6 years of his career . Moving to Lahore in 2017 was like starting a new chapter in his life, as he met his mentor Atique Chaudary . According to Zunain, his Coach, Atique Chaudary, has played a major and vital role in his life. Throughout his ups and downs, Atique has been his supporter and his backbone. He was the one who saw talent in the youngster and invested in him.  Under the supervision of Atique Chaudary, Zunain made his debut in National Badminton at the age of 21. Malik Ghasif Raza- Junior (U-14) National Champion 2020

Malik Ghasif Raza was born on 24th August 2007 in Hafizabad. Currently, he is studying the last year of Matric. The current Junior (U-14) National Champion started his career at the age of 9.   The role of a coach and a mentor was played by his father, Malik Hamid Raza (South Asian Level 1 Coach) . He began professional training under the supervision of his father at City Badminton Club . The youngster has dominated his district along with the Junior (U-14) National circuit . He became District Champion (U-14) for the first time in 2018 . Moreover, he participated in the District Championship (U-16) at the age of 13 and came out as the 2nd best Boy's Singles player . In the same year (2019) , he participated in the District Championship (U-18) and bagged a silver medal in Boy's Singles . The young champion achieved wonders at such a young age, being a pride of Pakistan. He also helped his team ( Gujranwala Board ) achieve a Bronze medal in Inter-Board Championship (2020).
