Javeria Tahir

Javeria Tahir was born on 11th March 1997 in Lahore, and has completed her Bachelors in Media studies. At the age of 15, Javeria started playing Badminton and started developing a passion for it.

She started getting a proper coaching, and for that she decided to join New Khan Club. In her whole game career uptil now, Javeria has trained under many coaches: Naeem Mughal, Sajid Ali, and Tayyab Sohail. She is currently representing SNGPL. Receiving this training proved to be of a huge benefit, and led her to win her first professional tournament at Quaid e Azam Games.

In 2015, Javeria was the winner at Punjab Youth Festival. The next year, National Junior (U-16 & U-19) Champion became Quaid-e-Azam Games Champion. Javeria has also played 2 International Series: Pakistan International Series 2018 and Buy Young Social Series Malaysia 2019.

Every person during their pathway to success has people who pull them down. However, it is the presence of your loved ones and your supporters which makes it easy to stay on track, combined with self-motivation. Similar was the case with Javeria, as some people pushed her to quit the game just because she lost a few matches. However, her parents always took her to the club for training, and always made sure she was never feeling down.

Her highest National ranking has been 6th (WS) and 5th (WD). In the future, Javeria aims to be a good sportswoman, giving girls the awareness that they can do all that they aspire in their life. Other than that, she also aims to become a journalist/graphic designer. It is because of the sportswomen in Pakistan that inspires more females to participate and represent their country.

Nauman belonged to a family who already were national champions (his uncle and his aunt), but little did he know that he'd be known as one of them. He, just like any other child, did not know what badminton was. His uncle, Shakeel Hayat Mir , introduced him to badminton at the age of 11 and trained him under his supervision at LDA Sports Complex Samanabad Lahore in the early days of Nauman. In his early days he would just go to the court with his uncle, watching him and others play. However, as he started to grow up, his uncle focused more on training him. As soon as his uncle was satisfied with his training, he allowed him to participate in national junior (u-12) , where he shocked everyone by winning both boys doubles (with Waqas Ahmed) and boys singles titles. He continued to dominate in juniors at national  level by becoming u-14 and u-18 champion in both categories. ...
