Raza Ali Adil

Raza Ali Adil was born on 7th September, 2002. He hails from Lahore and has completed his Intermediate from Government College (GC).

Raza, at the age of only 13, started playing Badminton in Iqbal Park Badminton Club, with help of his uncle and Coach Amir Shuja.

Raza throughout his game career has had many coaches uptil now. After his 1st coach Amir Shuja, Raza did training under Coach Nadeem Javed, Waqas Ahmed & Atique Chaudary. Raza still goes to each one of them, works with them and has a lot to learn from them. Working under a great coach is super beneficial for any sportsman, in every way.

The 1st professional tournament that Raza played was Punjab Junior Championship U-13,14 in Lahore. Following are some of Raza's major Badminton achievements:

  • U-13,14,15,17,19 Punjab champion

In 2019, Raza made his first major upset in seniors at Ranking Tournament Main round 1 against Waqas Aslam of Islamabad, where Raza won a rubber set match at Wapda Sports Complex. Like every successful person, Raza also faced a downfall in his career. He lost 7 tournaments in 2016, however, won more than 10+ tournaments in 2017. Later on, Raza also injured his ankle in 2019. The doctors advised him to rest for upto 6-7 months. However, he recovered soon and was back on court within 3 months.

Raza's current National ranking is 43 (Men's Singles) and U-19 BWF highest ranking is 179. Throughout his career, his family, friends, and coach Amir Shuja has supported him a lot. Later on, Sir Nadeem, Sir Waqas, as well as his brother Saad always pushed him to work harder and to stay consistent. Raza aims to excel in Badminton and become Men's Champion in Pakistan, and to one day represent his country by becoming a top player in World Ranking.

Review of Yonex Nanoflare 270 Speed

The Yonex Nanoflare 270 Speed is a product of Yonex's latest series, Nanoflare , which was released in the year 2019. A resilient yet flexible graphite material, Toraycar M40 and Super HMG provide matchless power and stability for maximum shuttle acceleration. Its Nanocell Neo frame shape provides you with a greater sweet spot, allowing you to have a better chance of middling the shot. In my opinion, what distinguishes this racket from other models of Yonex is that it comes with various weights and grip sizes (which I already explained in my previous blog), allowing you to have a number of choices according to your game style. Yonex launched Nanoflare 270 speed are manufactured in 4U and 5U , weighing 83g and 78g on average respectively. As you can see it is a light racket, so this may not be suitable for an attacking player, however it might be beneficial for defensive players, or those who like to rely on their flat drives. Furthermore, I would advise you to string yo...

Comeback of Nauman Sikander Mir

Nauman Sikander Mir, known as “Nomi” among his friends, was born on 27th july 1977 in Lahore. Nauman belonged to a family who already were national champions (his uncle and his aunt), but little did he know that he'd be known as one of them. He, just like any other child, did not know what badminton was. His uncle, Shakeel Hayat Mir , introduced him to badminton at the age of 11 and trained him under his supervision at LDA Sports Complex Samanabad Lahore in the early days of Nauman. In his early days he would just go to the court with his uncle, watching him and others play. However, as he started to grow up, his uncle focused more on training him. As soon as his uncle was satisfied with his training, he allowed him to participate in national junior (u-12) , where he shocked everyone by winning both boys doubles (with Waqas Ahmed) and boys singles titles. He continued to dominate in juniors at national  level by becoming u-14 and u-18 champion in both categories. ...
