Muqsit entered as the youngest player in his first ever professional tournament: National Junior Championship 2011. He lost out in the second round. Muqsit has played several tournaments throughout his career and has bagged numerous titles too. Some of the majors he has won are listed below:

In Punjab Badminton Championship 2019, Muqsit pulled out a major upset on his way to the finals by beating Muqeet Tahir (MS Pak no. 5) in Quarter finals.

Apart from his achievements mentioned above, Muqsit has lost many matches from decisive moments which according to him is the "hardest thing to get over and move on". Moreover, Muqsit faced a knee injury in 2017 while training in the National camp held under Coach Arwind Verma from Malaysia. Although Muqsit wasn't much worried as he did not know the intensity of the injury until he got his MRI done. The reports stated that he had damaged his left meniscus' posterior horn. Since his injury, sometimes he has to adjust his training accordingly.

Moreover, athletes face these kinds of challenges in their journey but some sort of motivation is what they require. However Muqsit finds it difficult to stay motivated sometimes as he states, "In Pakistan with scarce opportunities and minimal to no reward, its really difficult to find motivation but i guess every time I performed well in professional play and every time I lost a well fought match in practice, it motivated me to do even better because I have always been a very competitive person at everything I have ever done and badminton is no exception and I suppose that's why i have kept training and battling even when the chips were down".

Throughout his career, his father- Amer Islam, his brother and Coach Zahid Maqbool has been his constant support. During his career uptil now, he has trained under several coaches: Amer Islam, Zahid Maqbool, Moeed Ahmad, Arvind Varma.

Pakistan's 44th best Men's Singles player, Muqsit Amir, aims to represent Pakistan on International level and be able to compete with the very best.

Review of Yonex Nanoflare 270 Speed

The Yonex Nanoflare 270 Speed is a product of Yonex's latest series, Nanoflare , which was released in the year 2019. A resilient yet flexible graphite material, Toraycar M40 and Super HMG provide matchless power and stability for maximum shuttle acceleration. Its Nanocell Neo frame shape provides you with a greater sweet spot, allowing you to have a better chance of middling the shot. In my opinion, what distinguishes this racket from other models of Yonex is that it comes with various weights and grip sizes (which I already explained in my previous blog), allowing you to have a number of choices according to your game style. Yonex launched Nanoflare 270 speed are manufactured in 4U and 5U , weighing 83g and 78g on average respectively. As you can see it is a light racket, so this may not be suitable for an attacking player, however it might be beneficial for defensive players, or those who like to rely on their flat drives. Furthermore, I would advise you to string yo...
