Rohail Haseeb- Former National Junior (U-19) Champion

Rohail Haseeb was born on 15th December 1998 in Gujranwala. He is currently studying BBA from University of Lahore (UOL). 

Rohail started badminton as an ordinary outdoor badminton player. After playing outdoor for sometime, he, along with his twin brother, Rohaan Haseeb, shifted to an indoor Badminton court at Winpro Club Kamoki. Over there they both trained together under their father, Coach Kashif Warraich and Coach Shoaib Sheikh. As their coaches saw potential in the twin brothers, they both decided to play Men's Doubles professionally. 

Rohail started to play competitive badminton after seeking professional training. Uptil now, Rohail has achieved several titles in his Badminton career. Some of the majors are listed below:

  1. 2 times National Junior (U-19) Champion (MD) (2016 & 2017)

  2. Lums Badminton open Winner (MD) 2019

  3. District Gujranwala Winner 2019

  4. 3 times University of Lahore fest Winner (2018, 2019 & 2020)

  5. University of Central Punjab (UCP) Takra Runners up 2020 


Apart from the achievements mentioned above, Rohail has been a tough contender in the recent tournaments. He (with Rohaan Haseeb) beat Ahsan Asif/ Waqas Zahid (WAPDA) in the National Championship 2018. In the same tournament, they pushed Current National Champion: Larosh Ali/ Noman Sabir till the rubber set and made them work till the end for the victory. They also gave a close fight to a high seeded duo, Murad Ali/ Hashir Bashir, in the 2019 National Championship.


However, since last year Rohail/Rohaan are struggling to close up the match in the decider. They have lost many crucial matches despite having 5-6 match points in the 3rd set. Rohail has been working to improve his mental strength to secure these matches in the future. Rohail states, "Proper mental training and working on temperament has improved us". Moreover, his Family, friends and Coaches have helped him to work on his weaknesses and bounce back stronger every time. 


Rohail's best National Ranking has been 11th (MD), however upon missing the last National Championship, his ranking dropped to 15th. Moreover, the player looks to break the record of Rizwan Azam/ Kashif Sulehri for having the most Men's Doubles title in history. Also he aims to perform well and be eligible to join WAPDA or NBP's Badminton team.

Sarah Mohmand's Badminton career

Sarah Mohmand was born on 14th June 1984 in Islamabad. She did her Bachelors in Computer science from Hamdard University and Graduate Diploma in Technology from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia.  Sarah, at the age of 16, did not know her hobby would be her profession. She started playing Badminton in Islamabad Club with her friends. However, as her interest grew, she decided to seek professional guidance.
